If you’re looking to keep costs down, check for hotels with special offers, e.g. free nights, but ensure your arrival day applies. Try to avoid Eurotunnel or Ferry travel before 2pm from the UK and if you can, return before 1pm from the continent. If travelling with Eurostar, be aware that ticket prices can rise as trains fill, so book as early as possible and if you can be flexible with journey times that can help us find you better value seats.

The very pretty medieval town and port of Honfleur is located on the Seine estuary just south of Le Havre and remains one of the top short break destinations of France. A very popular yacht harbour and busy fishing port, Honfleur has a vibrant but charming atmosphere and is the ideal place to spend a few days just winding down. In the evenings pop down to one of the restaurants that surround the quay side and enjoy an aperitif al fresco as the sun goes down over the ocean beyond. We have a fine selection of hotels here – with the 15th century Hotel Cheval Blanc taking pride of place due to its very comfortable old world charm and elegance, whilst the recently renovated 2 star Hotel Du Dauphin offers a cheaper option and is situated close to the historic centre of Honfleur.
