What you need to know...

Hotel Meurice is a luxury hotel with an interior design that gives it the image of a castle. Set in the heart of Calais, but minutes from the beach, the hotel is situated in a quiet location and has a highly regarded restaurant 'La Diligence'.

The hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the guest rooms are well equipped - for a special treat why not consider upgrading to a Superior or Jacuzzi room? 

You might also be interested to know that the hotel owner, a keen whisky buff and member of the local whisky club "Le Clan des Grands Malts", organises one evening each month (generally the 3rd or 4th Monday) dedicated to the amber nectar with 4 whiskies to sample and a dinner based around their individual flavours.

The cost of the evening is very reasonable (between 37- 40€ per person all inclusive), it begins at 8 pm and finishes at 10 pm; during the evening you may purchase the whiskies that you have sampled and they will be delivered to you at the Meurice!
